Amherst Label receives Innovator Award

Nick Calvetti, President, recently an- nounced Amherst Label’s received the Innovator of the Year Award fro 2010 from the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI). The award was presented at the TLMI annual meeting held in Boca Raton, Florida. For nearly eighty years, TLMI has been the leading trade association in the North American label industry providing invaluable tools and educational resources to its label converter and supplier members.

The award was given for a trademarked medical dosage schedule/reminder label. This label is applied to a prescription bottle. Two entrepreneurs with an idea and chal- lenge approached Amherst Label. They need help to develop their idea into a useful product. Working together, a custom mate- rial was developed. The medical dosage schedule/reminder label is currently being test marketed around the world by a major pharmaceutical company.
