Dispatch supervisor arrested for hosting drinking party

The communications supervisor at the Amherst Public Safety Communications Center, Shawn Brewer, was arrested on Saturday at his home in Milford charged with hosting an underage drinking party. According to the Milford Police arrest logs, Brewer was released on personal recognizance bail pending a March 9th arraignment to be held at Milford District Court.
Brewer’s son, Timothy Brewer, 20, was also arrested for underage alcohol possession, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Eight others were charged with underage alcohol possession including the arrest of a juvenile aged 16 or under.
Amherst Public Safety Communications Center dispatches police, fire and EMS and also handles all radio communications for the Department of Public Works. As the communications supervisor, Brewer is also a dispatcher.
